Job Description
  • Planning, programming and management.

  • Responsible for day-to-day operation of the organization and effective implementation of its programs and activities in absence of ED.

  • Support to implement Foundation’s programs.

  • Support in maintaining relationship with various UN agencies and international donor/development organizations from related sectors.

  • Guide and instruct the subordinate  as and when necessary.

  • Support on Policy refinement, programs improvement and implementation.

  • Co-ordinate and report to the Board in absence of ED.

  • Financial/administrative management and control.

  • Skill on advocacy, publication, promotion, and networking.

  • Keep updated on the developments related to carpet industries and its market at national and international level, along with the status of the Nepali’s child labor policy, and law.

  • Play supportive role to establish mutual and close relationship with the industry people and attract more carpet exporters and manufacturers to be GoodWeave- licensee.

  • Cooperate in preparing report regarding organization's status, achievements and activities.

  • Follow instruction issued by Executive Committee.

  • Work as required for meeting the goal of the organization.

     

Job Specification
  • Good understanding and exposure to conventions and instruments on child rights and child labor along with sound knowledge about national plans and policies on child rights and child labor.
  • Excellent interpersonal communications, negotiations and influencing skills.
  • Dynamic and pleasant personality with excellent networking and team spirit.
  • Skill on proposal writing and fund raising.
  • Sensitive towards children and their issues.
  • Excellent command and fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali languages.
  • Ability to operate computer independently and comfortable in using standard software applications.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic to work with dedication and strong commitment for a social commitment for social cause.
  • In between 35-50 years of age.
