Job Description
  • To develop and maintain various supply chain plans and strategies and implement the overall supply chain strategy
  • To coordinate and oversee manufacturing operations in order to forecast orders and meet customer demands
  • To be able to use platforms like Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • To coordinate all site supply chain functions: from the factory floor to invoice.
  • To collaborate with Sales and Operations teams 
  • To communicate professionally when required, via different communication media 
  • To negotiate shipping prices and transportation arrangements with contracted providers
  • To maintain a clear and consistent communication with suppliers, vendors, and shipping contacts throughout the procurement cycle
  • To determine key supply chain KPIs
  • To suggest solutions for process improvements
  • To identify and solve process bottleneck timely and effectively
  • To increase efficiency and cost-cutting by improving process and procurement
  • To rally internal and external stakeholders towards a common goal; delivering the best possible quality product
  • To produce accurate stock control forecasts and to report so as to ensure optimal material availability
  • To work with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors
  • To build and maintain good relationships with vendors
  • To negotiate contracts and rates with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs house brokers, warehouse managers and related third-party logical service providers
  • To ensure that appropriate import and export compliance procedures are followed by employees and contracted service providers
  • To execute industry standard policies related to quality, safety, and process improvements 
  • To ensure that designated freight forwarders and customs house brokers follow established processes and procedures   
  • Required Skills

     

  • Educated to degree level (logistics, business administration or supply chain management) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 Years’ of experience in a similar FMCG-based role
  • Management skills - able to bring together a variety of different personalities
  • Analytical thinker - the ability to apply yourself to complex supply chain issues
  • Communication skills - clear verbal and written communications with clients, management and team
