Job Description
- Gather and analyze relevant literature and documents.
- Attend relevant methodological training
- Work with the Principal Investigators, Co-Investigators and Research Assistants from Nepal, Ghana, and Bangladesh to organize and conduct 2-week participatory pilot studies in Pokhara and Kirtipur.
- Contribute to analyzing and interpreting data generated by the project
- Contribute to organizing project-related events, such as screening events and stakeholder workshops.
- Contribute to the planning and development of a large scale follow-on funding bid.
- Carry out administrative and other activities as requested.
- Deal with problems that may affect the achievement of research objectives and deadlines.
- Any other duties, commensurate with the grade of the post.
Job Specification
- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline. This could include disciplines such as Development Studies, Public Health, Urban Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Global Health or other relevant disciplines
- Experience in qualitative research methods is essential.
- Experience in community-level participatory research techniques would be preferred, but training will be given to the successful candidate on the specific methods being utilized in the project.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- High-quality communication skills, both written and verbal
