Job Description
  • Overall preparation and planning of the research activities in the district
  • Coordination and communication with project staff, health workers, female community volunteers and other stakeholders
  • Team management
  • Ensure and support Logistics, transport and equipment handling 
  • Recording, documentation and reporting
  • Conduct supportive supervision and monitoring of research activities in different clusters
  • Support in financial projection and settlement in timely manner
  • Represent Action Against Hunger in nutrition and health meetings/discussions/ fora
Job Specification
  • Work duration 11 months
  • Master’s in public health, nutrition, development studies, nutrition and dietetics, social science or relevant discipline with at least one (1) year of experience in nutrition and health specific programme preferably in International/NGO or UN agency; or Bachelor’s degree with three (3) years of experience in aforementioned field
  • Significant experiences in Community/Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (C/IMAM) and/Nutrition in Emergency (NiE) is mandatory 
  • Strong computer literacy and knowledge of database and spread sheet applications such as excel is essential
  • Experience in using mobile data collection (ODK, KoBo or any similar applications) will have added value
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, negotiation and communication skills
  • Sound Nepali and English communication and presentation skills 
  • Experience in nutrition research and/or nutrition assessments
  • Ability to work in diverse environment with short deadlines and intense pressure
  • Experience in conducting surveys, focus group discussion and key informant interviews
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Willing to travel extensively
