About the role

The Front End Engineer will work closely with stakeholders, analysts, project managers and other developers to deliver timely, high quality outcomes by ensuring the level of design and development delivered to the business enables it to continue to lead the market with innovation and agility.

• Delivering a complete front-end application.
• Ensuring high performance on mobile and desktop environments.
• Writing tested, idiomatic, and documented JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Cooperating with the back-end developer in the process of building the Web API.
• Communicating with external web services.
• Ability to optimize existing code and improve performance.
• Demonstrating full-stack web development ability.
• JavaScript programming with single-page apps and/or server-side JavaScript.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Works with project managers, team members, and business analysts to define requirements for applications targeted for the corporate web initiatives

Nice to haves

• Exposure to working in a .Net environment using MVC, Docker
• Secure coding skills and practices
• Wireframing/Design skills
• Experience using JIRA or other products in the Atlassian suite
• Experience working in an Agile environment

Job Specification

• Bachelor’s Degree or advanced technology degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years enterprise application design and development experience
• Strong experience with HTML, CSS, ES2015+, Typescript, Angular and writing cross-browser compatible code
• High level of proficiency with JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and HTML5.
• At least 2+ years of full time experience working with Angular 8+.  (Nice to have similar JavaScript frameworks, such as React, or VueJS)
• Familiar with UI/UX design principles, and responsive web application development
• Experience consuming and manipulating data from JSON/RESTful service APIs using RxJS and Observables to display via UI.
• Use current standards of responsive web design and web performance optimization techniques.
• Professional, precise communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of Angular practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience.
• Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.
• Ability to provide SEO solutions for single-page apps.
• Extensive knowledge of CSS and JS methods for providing performance.
• Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, and other web services used in the system.
• Validating user actions on the client-side and providing responsive feedback.
• Writing non-blocking code, and resorting to advanced techniques such as multi-threading, when needed.
• Creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environments.
• Familiar with Git.
