Job Specification
  • PhD in public health/medicine/management/economics/social science/law with at least 5 years of experiences in the managerial position or Master degree in similar academic qualifications with 10 years of experiences in the managerial position or Charter Accountant with 10 years experiences in the managerial position,
  • Demonstrated experiences in modern approaches to change management,
  • Highly experienced in management of donor funded projects, network building and resource mobilization,
  • Experiences gained in developing policy framework, action plans, guidelines and management of family planning related activities, 
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Excellent knowledge of English, Nepali and local languages. Knowledge of other international language would be an added advantage,
  • Good computer skills (Ms word, Ms excel, PowerPoint)
  • Nepali citizenship.
  • Candidates   not exceeding 62 years of age as last date of application.

Family Planning Association of Nepal (FPAN) is the first and a leading national NGO devoted to SRHR, which was established in 1959 and started family planning and SRH programs in Nepal, becoming Member Association of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) in 1969. FPAN has been complementing and supplementing the national health and population programs after the government launched its own Family Planning and Maternal and Child Health Project in 1969. FPAN has 480 full-time professional and 11,000 volunteers at community levels. It produces 4,300 peer educators every year and has already produced and recruited 14,160 Peer educators. FPAN's current programs are part of Strategic Plan (2010-15), which are focused on 5As: Adolescent, Safe Abortion, HIV/AIDS, Advocacy and Access. Gender is a cross cutting issue in all 5As.
