Job Description

Areas for consultancy

Brief SoW

Law and Policy  

  • Provide expert services on constitutional and legal aspects on fundamental rights/freedom of association and expression in relation to international standards

 

Governance

  • Develop resource documents and provide expert service for capacity building events, dialogue and discussion programs on Open Government Partnership
  • Assist CS:MAP partners in connecting local level issues of advocacy with federal and provincial networks/coalitions for policy level advocacy so that these issues are heard at provincial/federal levels

Media and Communication

 

  • Provide expert service on writing, translating and editing various documents
  • Develop manuals and facilitate capacity building workshops, training and orientations  
  • Support in compiling and analyzing public interest issues raised by policy makers in different fora

ICT

 

  • Support civil society organizations in using ICT for their institutional development and internal governance
  • Build the capacity of CS:MAP partners on use of ICT and new media for improving governance and public service delivery.
  • Support local governments for using ICT to improve governance and service delivery

 

Areas for consultancy

Brief SoW

Illustrator/creative content design

Develop creative and relevant illustrations for different publications including newsletters, manuals, reports, presentations information, education and communication materials and social media.

Digital content development for social media platforms

Develop visually and verbally compelling contents for social media platforms contents in social media compatible formats.

 

Promote risk assessment and appointment booking tool-MeroSathi via social media.

  • Promote contents through boosting in Factbook, Instagram and other social media platform and dating applications.
  • Engage virtually active populations in social media platforms, and dating applications

 

Creative Writing, Editing and Translation

  • Translate training manuals, project documents, reports, success stories in Nepali and/or English.
  • Review and edit project documents, reports, success stores in Nepali and English.
  • Collect and prepare success stories

Program assessment, review and analysis

  • Review/assess HIV prevention, care and treatment program and services
  • Review and analyze prevention, care and treatment data
  • Capture good practices, lessons learned, issues, challenges and chart-out way forward for programmatic improvement. 

Training design, development and facilitation

 

  • Develop or review and update training curriculum, manual and materials including presentation slides
  • Prepare training schedule, manage and facilitate sessions, prepare training reports
  • HIV and STI case management,
  • Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP)
  • HIV counseling and testing,
  • Community-led testing and
  • HIV self-testing
  • Logistics management
  • HIV laboratory diagnosis
  • Training of Trainers (TOT)

ART Physician/Consultant: PrEP initiations (for Kaski, Chitwan, Nepalgunj and Kailali)

  • Verify eligibility criteria and initiate PrEP
  • Conduct follow up and identify adverse events
  • Support LINKAGES Nepal clinical staff for follow up client taking PrEP

Qualitative research

  • Conduct qualitative interview and focus group discussions (FGD) for the research/studies conducted by LINKAKES
  • Prepare qualitative transcripts
  • Contribute in coding of qualitative transcripts
  • Support in preparing report of qualitative studies

HIV program management, administration and logistics support

  • Support and coordinate with FHI 360/LINKAGES Nepal staff, implementing partner agencies, government and non-government stakeholders to provide management, administrative and logistics support for HIV prevention, care, support and treatment

Surveillance and research (HIV epidemic data analysis)  

  • Critically review and analyze national HIV epidemic and response data
  • Prepare HIV epidemic data analysis report
  • Organize consultation meeting with key stakeholders. 
Job Specification

Areas for consultancy

Brief Scope of Work

Laboratory support for AMR activity

  • Perform laboratory/microbiological procedures for bacterial pathogen isolation, identification and antibiotic susceptibility test (AST)
  • Review and update training materials
  • Prepare training schedule, manage and facilitate sessions, prepare training reports
  • Develop and/or update laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) for selected bacteria of interest

Develop AMR data dashboard for visualization

  • Review the existing data system at the Central Veterinary Laboratory and National Public Health Laboratory and create a dashboard for data visualization   

Mapping and review the flow of antibiotics distribution pathway in human health and animal health sectors

  • Collect the information on the antibiotic distribution pathway used in humans and in livestock
  • Create a mapping to show a clear distribution pathway of the antibiotics used in humans and in livestock
  • Present the findings in a review meeting with the stakeholders and update the findings if necessary
  • Submit a final report on the antibiotic distribution pathway used in humans and in livestock

Conduct survey on AMU in human and poultry (broilers and layers) at AMR surveillance site

  • Conduct a survey to collect the information on the antibiotic uses in the chosen surveillance site for human and poultry (broiler and layers)
  • Present the findings in a review meeting with the stakeholders and update the findings if necessary
  • Submit a final report on the antibiotic uses human and poultry (broiler and layers).

Develop AMR and AMU database system (including bridging software)

  • Review the existing laboratory management information system (LMIS) at AMR surveillance sites and identify the gaps for WHONET reporting
  • Develop a bridging software to fill the gaps and pull the data from the local LMIS to WHONET software
  • Review the existing data recording system for AMU use and develop a software for it
