Position: Community Mobilizer (Recent Job)

Job Description

• Assist with contextualizing PASSA and similar customized participatory approaches (PCPA) in the Nepal Disaster Risk, Reduction & Response (DRRR) context and fitting it into the HFH Build Nepal program, including a vulnerability index verification system facilitating the implementation of the Tier Service Model.
• Assist with PCPA training on national, district and VDC level when required.
• Working relationship between NGO and local authorities.
• Setting-up and implementation of community mobilization activities.
• Implementation of PASSA and similar customized participatory approaches (PCPA);.
• Implementation of identified community projects as per PCPA.
• Identification of beneficiaries as per vulnerability index, and preparation of Tier service model.
• Ensure coordination between MFI and NGO for support to Tier 2 level beneficiaries.
• Set-up and implementation of beneficiary feedback mechanism.
• Liaise with local government on behave of Habitat Nepal.
• Support the NGO in their community mobilization capacity.
• Build the capacity of the NGO in community mobilization.
• Continue monitoring, record all activities in well manages documentation.
• Provide line manager with monthly, quarterly and final reports.
• Fill-in for project management staff when called upon.
• Translate for foreign colleagues or volunteers, when needed.
• Monitor the morale of the community - keep people working together toward a common goal.
• Provides SME support for GV build implementation, and works in close coordination with the GV Manager and other GV staff.
• Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
