Job Description

Responsible for handling all transactions for exchange of chips, tokens or tickets for cash with the aim of ensuring all cage transactions and other related activities are performed with accuracy and efficiency to ensure achievement of company goals and objectives

Job Specification

Conduct cage transactions occurring during the shift which include the following:

  • Issue and receive table fills and credits
  • Accepting patron’s deposits into deposit accounts
  • Receive chips, tokens, cash equivalents and markers in exchange of cash
  • Handle cash advance transactions
  • Prepare closeout reports
  • Check currency, coins and chips in the cashier’s float at the start of the shift. Bills should always be piece-counted to ensure that the amount stated in the Open/Close (Cage Float) is correct
  • Summarize all transactions made during assigned shift and request the supervisor for replenishment of same
  • Balance float at the end of shift
  •  When working in the credit administration area, participate in the daily processing of patron credit and check cashing applications and assume responsibility for maintenance of subsidiary records and accumulation of data required for reports
  •  Perform duties in other areas of the cash desk that have been requested by the cash desk manager
  •  Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining files and processing paperwork
  •  Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management
