Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and organized HR Generalist to manage day-to-day human resource operations across our automobile dealer group. The HR Generalist is responsible for managing the day-to-day HR operations. The role ensures effective implementation of HR policies, recruitment, attendance, payroll coordination, employee relations, and compliance. The position supports management in building a disciplined, motivated, and high-performing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Plan and execute recruitment for all departments (Sales, Service, CRM, Accounts, Drivers, Cleaners, etc.).
- Prepare job descriptions, post vacancies, screen candidates, and schedule interviews.
- Conduct employee orientation and onboarding formalities.
- Maintain updated manpower lists and organizational charts.
Attendance, Leave & Shift Management
- Monitor daily attendance and leave records for showroom and service staff.
- Manage rosters, holidays, and shift rotations.
- Track late arrivals, absences, and coordinate with Accounts for payroll inputs.
Payroll & Compliance
- Prepare monthly payroll sheets in coordination with Accounts.
- Ensure timely submission of SSF, CIT, and tax-related documents.
- Maintain employee personal files, contracts, renewals, and other HR documents.
- Support in audits and labor compliance checks.
Performance & Incentive Tracking
- Assist in setting performance targets and maintaining appraisal records.
- Track monthly sales and service incentives.
- Support department heads in conducting performance reviews.
Training & Development
- Organize technical, behavioral, and safety training sessions.
- Maintain training attendance and feedback reports.
- Coordinate with management for skill development programs.
Employee Relations & Discipline
- Maintain harmonious employee relations across departments.
- Address grievances, absenteeism, and misconduct cases as per company policy.
- Issue warning letters, memos, and maintain disciplinary records.
- Encourage punctuality, teamwork, and professionalism.
Health, Safety & Welfare
- Ensure workplace safety compliance in the workshop area.
- Monitor usage of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and cleanliness standards.
HR Administration & Reporting
- Maintain HR database (attendance, leave, employee details, etc.).
- Prepare monthly HR reports (attendance summary, headcount, turnover, etc.).
- Circulate notices, policies, and updates to all departments.
- Support management in policy formulation and implementation.
Job Specification
Educational Qualifications
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or Management.
- Preferred: Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) with a specialization in HR.
- Training or certification in Labor Law, Payroll Management, or HR Software is an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in human resources operations.
- Prior experience in an automobile dealership, retail, or service industry is preferred.
- Should have handled recruitment, attendance, payroll, and employee relations independently.
Knowledge Requirements
- Sound knowledge of:
- Nepal Labor Act and related employment regulations.
- Social Security Fund (SSF), Tax (TDS), and company compliance procedures.
- Recruitment and selection process.
- Attendance, leave, and overtime management.
- Payroll and performance incentive systems.
- Safety and discipline requirements in service environments.
- Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets; familiarity with HRIS or ERP systems preferred

Working Conditions
- Full-time role: 6 working days per week (Sunday–Friday).
- Work involves regular coordination between showroom, service center, and management office.
Salary Range: NPR 30,000 – 45,000 per month (depending on experience and scope).
