Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to the menu, recipes, and required standards.
Ensure food is prepared with good taste, quality, presentation, and consistency.
Handle, store, and preserve food ingredients properly.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and cooking area.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Monitor ingredient stock levels and inform the supervisor about replenishment requirements.
Ensure timely preparation and service of meals.
Maintain and properly use kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances.
Minimize food wastage and maintain appropriate portion sizes.
Assist in menu planning and suggest new dishes when required.
Coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members.
Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
Job Specification
Minimum SLC/SEE or equivalent; culinary training is an advantage.
1 year of relevant cooking experience preferred.
Good knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, spices, and food preparation.
Ability to prepare a variety of Nepali, Indian, Continental, or other cuisines as required.
Knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and sanitation practices.
Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
Physically fit, responsible, disciplined, and punctual.
Positive attitude and good teamwork skills.
