Job Description
  • To manage the daily operation of the restaurant.
  • To create a safe working environment and to ensure that all restaurant staffs comply with the latest health and sanitation regulations at all times.
  • To ensure the best possible dining experience for all guests and to provide special attention to guests with special needs.
  • To train, coach, council, support and delegate all of the restaurant staffs.
  • To guide the restaurant staffs and to ensure that everyone is updated with relevant information at all times.
  • To monitor and develop the work schedules, section plans and vacation schedules and to conduct performance appraisals for the restaurant staffs.
  • To review job applications and to interview and recommend suitable applicants accordingly.
  • To prepare and submit staff number change requests when internal staffs changes are made.
  • To prepare Name tag request forms for all new and returning restaurant staffs.
  • To ensure that any maintenance issues in the restaurant are reported in a timely manner and that the work orders are followed up on accordingly.
  • To order, receive and monitor all cutlery, crockery and glassware for the restaurant through the hotel stores.
  • To ensure a smooth and efficient service during meal hours through constant communication with the kitchen.
  • To execute all aspects of planning and organizing of upcoming cruises for the restaurant.
  • To ensure that all restaurant staffs follow uniform guidelines and personal hygiene procedures according to company guidelines.
  • To ensure that all restaurant staffs work registration forms are completed correctly and handed in to the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager in a timely manner.
  • To ensure that restaurant overtime is submitted to the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager in a timely manner.
  • To adhere to, and to ensure that the restaurant staffs adheres to all company policies and procedures, manuals and directives.
  • To ensure that crockery and glassware breakages are kept to a minimum.
  • To monitor all cutleries, crockery and glassware inventory for the restaurant.
  • To monitor and control the use of cleaning materials and consumables in the restaurant.
  • To monitor and control the wages and overtime for the restaurant staffs according to budget.
  • To monitor and control vacation schedules for all restaurant staffs.
  • To monitor and to assist the Assistant F&B Manager in controlling all restaurants’ expenditures to ensure that it stays within the limits of the consumables and budget.
  • To ensure that safe lifting techniques are practiced at all times in the restaurant.
  • To ensure that the proper use of personal protective equipment in the restaurant work areas is implemented at all times.
Job Specification
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English and Hindu. Knowledge of any additional language is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills.
  • Must have very good administrative skills (proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Very good organizational skills are necessary along with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must possess excellent leadership and human resource management skills and the ability to interact with all levels of people.
  • Must be able to communicate and implement corrective action steps in an effective, yet diplomatic fashion.
  • Must be able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Needs to have an outgoing personality and has to possess a positive attitude, maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor at all times.
