We often find employers complaining about their employees leaving the job, or the employee turnover is increasing or similar kinds of things. But instead of complaining, do you think they know the reasons behind why in actual, the employees leave the job? What are the factors or reasons that compel employees (mostly good) employees to leave or change their current job? Here are some of the reasons why this happens:

  • Overworking people :

The great reason of degrading employees’ productivity is this one factor. Often employers want more output through less input which goes in a wrong way if in employees are treated in the same concept. Overworking means like giving punishment to the employees for performing well.

A research from Stanford shows that productivity per hour declines sharply when the workweek exceeds 50 hours, and the productivity drops off so much after 55 hours that you don’t get anything out of working more.

  • No rewards for good work:

It’s simple to understand that, when we do something of worth, we expect some reward in return and when this system lacks in any organization, employees surely step out of the job. If employees are doing something for the organization, the organization should also think of something to motivate employees and keep up good thing going on.

  • Not listening to the employees:

Sometimes, when communication between employers and employees don’t go well, it repels the employees from work. Employers should understand that, organization does not run if there is no communication on the both ways. When employees have to hear what employers say, it is necessary for them to be heard.

  • Treating everyone equally:

Organizations need to run in a different way. Equality in terms of performance is not acceptable everytime as employees have different level of skills and productivity. So employers failing to appreciate the good employees’ work often have the consequences of losing them.

  • No vision:

Vision of the organization leads the employees to achieve what is sought. While vision is not clear, the effort applied in the task is worthless as the one who is putting the effort even does not know where he/she is taking the lead to, due to which they better chose the companies which provide them better options.
